EXT-90EC Or 125EC For My First Telescope
I too would like some advice before I purchase my first telescope. I have been reading with interest the discussions in this newsgroup about these two models. Most of the information is a comparison about the technical specifications. I am looking for some opinions about cost vs. features. I realize that the larger model provides greater detail. How much difference will this make to the rank beginner trying to start the learning curve? With three kids under 16 years old, are these telescopes designed with simplicity in mind? Is the go to feature what I think it is, a way to have some quick fun and see if it leads to a more serious interest in astronomy? I have checked the price on the 90 but how much more is the 125? “Out the door,” what will each cost with the accessories that I’m sure I’ll be talked into? I’m starting to think that this is like buying a computer and I don’t want to get carried away with things that I might not ever use. Thanks,
